meet the maker - orchard farm

kate at orchard farm building

What makes Orchard Farm products different?  The ingredients are truly home grown!  Located in Moscow, Idaho this small acreage organic farm grows market veggies, herbal botanicals, a couple of kids, and a delightful line of all natural soaps.  I met Kate, the owner of Orchard Farm, at Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago.  She saw me struggling with getting my booth set up (Anthony missed his flight, my hand truck was no where to be found, my car was about 6 blocks away, I had boxes and boxes of product to get to my booth, it was raining, etc., etc.) and immediately offered assistance.  An instant friend!  It took me a couple of years to try her soaps, but when I did I loved them and knew my customers would as well.

meet the maker - oille natural

oillee natural

Austere aesthetic meets intelligence. Clinical Aromatherapist, Kirsten King, formulates organic and GC/MS tested essential oils into beauty serums.  We love Oille Natural (pronounced "oy-elle nature") because of it's simple sleek packaging and amazingly effective formulas.  Their facial serums are lightweight and breathable but heavy enough to improve the appearance of wrinkles and age spots.  Our most popular item made by Oille Natural is hands down the hair serum which is popular with both men and women and smells amazing.

meet the maker - park soap

Park Soap is simply the most natural line of soap you can find.  Made for the bathing purist with the highest of standards.  These generously sized soaps are carefully handmade in the traditional cold process method in small batches.  Only the highest quality, organic and sustainable oils are used.  No synthetic fragrances, dyes, sodium laureth sulfates or parabens are ever included.  I met the owner of Park Soap at the New York Stationery Show this last spring and was instantly taken with these chunky botanical soaps.   If you love naturally pure and subtly scented soaps, this is the brand for you.

Pumpkin! Pumpkin! Pumpkin!

pumpkin facial mask

I've been completely addicted to this facial mask (and all things pumpkin) It is super easy to make and leaves your skin soft and smooth. Use organic pumpkin. Trader Joe's has a great one. p.s. I've also been seeing a lot of recipes on line (thanks Pinterest) for pumpkin masks using cinnamon. DON'T USE CINNAMON! It sounds super tasty and I'm sure would smell divine, but is an irritant for most skin types.
