Craft Party 2015

Each year, on the same weekend, Etsy hosts a global Craft Party.  Basically, you gather everyone you know who is crafty, or wants to be crafty, in your corner of the world and make things.  It is a fun way to meet like-minded people and try a new project.

 

Formulary 55 hosted a party here in Pueblo, and it was a huge success!  We had a few different projects going for people to make and take, but by far the most popular was the collage postcard.  It was a great one for all skills levels and the supplies inexpensive to gather for a large group.  Since I’ve always been a massive paper hoarder, most everything we needed was already on hand. 

 

I started with postcard blanks from a local Etsy seller, Prairie Dog Paper Company, then picked up a bunch of collage packs from Ethelus Vintage and The Brown Pear.  The only other things I had to buy were scissors and Mod Podge (lots and lots of Mod Podge!) We just piled up all the paper in the middle of the table and let people go to town.  Some of the finished cards are below.
